Training of volunteers especially for those volunteering for our befriending service is very important to Avon Valley Dementia Support. The first of these took place on the 24th September, our trainer was the very experienced Jonathan Bunday who presented to the delegates an “Introduction to Dementia”. More training events will take place as our group of volunteers grow. All volunteers can expect first class training as our befriending network grows.
