Music Activities

Held in Fordingbridge, on the fourth Tuesday of each month, between 10:30am and 12 noon.
Andrew Knights

The Music Group is a morning of singing, playing instruments and having lots of fun. We have a resident musician, Andrew Knights, who joins us with his Saxophone, Oboe and Clarinet. He plays for us and facilitates the music session by sharing with us song sheets and various musical instruments for us to play as we sing along. None of us are experts but we all go home with a sense of accomplishment and a spring in our step.

There is a nominal charge to attend each group of £2.50 per person, this includes all refreshments. You are welcome to attend the groups for as long or short a period as you wish. The groups are friendly and informal and if you need to miss a group that is fine, we completely understand.

The groups are for people living with Dementia who can attend alone or with a carer, however, the groups are not suitable for anyone to attend alone if they have personal care needs or require a secure environment. The group also welcomes carers.

All groups are supported by several volunteers with a broad knowledge of Dementia. If you wish to speak to somebody about any of our groups, please contact one of our groups leads on our contact page.

Parking is available at the Pay & Display Car Park on the A338 slip road (the New Forest parking clocks are valid here too). There is a very short walk across the slip road to the Victoria Rooms. Limited parking is available alongside Victoria Rooms and can be used as a drop off point. Unfortunately, we are unable to provide transport to these groups.
